The World Climate Research Programme (WCRP) is committed to pursuing – through international coordination – frontier scientific questions related to the coupled climate system that are too large and too complex to be tackled by a single nation, agency, institution, or scientific discipline.
To ensure that WCRP is fit for purpose and fit for the future, the WCRP community is in the process of identifying and prioritizing the critical research activities needed over the next decade to address the challenges and take advantage of the opportunities of a changing climate.
The WCRP 'Implementation Plan' will outline the future structure and elements of the Programme and outline how WCRP will achieve its mission and scientific objectives.
