How to get to WMO

Transport:        

  1. From Geneva airport – 

    1. By train: 
      1. Take the train from the airport to Geneva city (All trains – IR, RE and IC trains stop at Geneva main train station. Station name: Genève; It is the first stop from the airport), and then take another train from Genève to “Secheron” (Pls be aware that the IR, RE and IC trains DO NOT stop at Secheron. Only the L line trains towards Coppet stop at Secheron; It is the first stop from the Genève train station). From Secheron, WMO is a three-minute walk. 
      2. The tickets can be purchased in the train station building, on the concourse from the airport baggage claim to the station. 
    2. By bus: 
      1. Board bus 5 (Direction: Thonex Vallard) outside the train station building (Landmark: Al Volo pizza restaurant) to “Nations” bus stop. WMO is a 10-minute walk from there. 
      2. The ticket machine is located outside the building at the bus stop and can be purchased there. 

  1. From Genève main train station – 

    1. By train: Take the “L” line (L1, L2 etc.,) train towards Coppet and get down at “Secheron”. It is the first stop from Genève station. WMO is a three-minute walk. 
    2. By bus: Buses 25 and 1 (Direction: Jardin Botanique) will bring you to WMO directly from outside the train station. Bus stop: Jardin Botanique. WMO is a two-minute walk from the Jardin Botanique bus stop. 

Tickets for public transport are available at ticket machines at the train stations/bus stops. The machine accepts Euros and Swiss Francs (CHF). Payments can be made via bank cards (Credit/debit).
