An interview with Detlef Stammer, Chair of the WCRP Joint Scientific Committee, given to the International Science Council (ISC)

The challenges are huge, and we have to really think about how to approach them. This was and still is a very basic motivation for us. We only have about 10 years’ time to make progress on the Paris targets, and this is where society really comes in. It’s getting really urgent to start moving if we want to reach these targets. WCRP's priority following the publication of its strategic plan is to work with Future Earth and others to develop information that people can use for mitigation and adaptation.
