In the past 15 years the media impact of the annual Global Carbon Budget has increased significantly. However, as the narrative on the global emissions trajectory starts to change, and the demand for scrutiny of emissions reduction efforts increases, the role of the Global Carbon Budget may need to shift.

The interest on the Global Carbon Budget and the data they make available every year has been growing over the years, and the demand for additional information and scrutiny on the data provided are expected to increase further as the implementation of the Paris Agreement continuous and its global stocktake begins.

To evolve in line with the needs of users from the communities of research, policy, media and civil society, and new stakeholders as interest grows, the Global Carbon Project would like you to provide them with feedback to drive the evolution of the activity in an ongoing strategic review.
