Two training courses will be held back-to-back in Qingdao, China, in July:

CLIVAR-FIO Joint Summer School on ‘Ocean Macroturbulence and Its Role in Earth’s Climate’

6 — 11 July 2020

The summer school is intended for early-career scientists with research interests in ocean and climate. It will focus on the interactions of ocean meso- and sub-mesoscale motions with Earth's climate system. More information can be found on the CLIVAR website.

UNESCO/IOC-RTRC-ODC Training Course on 'Regional Application of Coupled Climate Models'

13 — 22 July 2020

The training course is designed to provide advanced training and education for young scientists, promote exchange among all the participants, and initiate cutting-edge research on the regional climate system. More information can be found on the ODC website.

In both cases, there is no registration fee and a limited number of grants are available to support the attendance of selected participants, with priority given to participants from developing countries. You are encouraged to apply for both courses, with registration for both closing on 27 March 2020.
