Dr. Paulo Nobre is a senior researcher at the National Institute for Space Research, Coordinator of the development of the Brazilian Earth System Model - BESM and member of the WCRP Safe Landing Climate Lighthouse. He has experience in Geosciences, with an emphasis on meteorology and oceanography, working mainly on the following subjects: coupled ocean-cryosphere-biosphere-atmosphere modeling; Tropical Atlantic oceanography; sea ice; seasonal climate predictability and global climate change.
