Valérie MASSON-DELMOTTE

Known in France and around the world as one of the leading climate scientists involved with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), where she co-chaired Working Group I from 2015 to 2023, Valérie Masson-Delmotte is CEA senior scientist (research director) at the Laboratory of Climate and Environmental Sciences (CEA/CNRS/University of Versailles Saint-Quentin) and head of the Climate Society Center at Institut Pierre Simon Laplace. She is a member of the French Academy of Science and Academy of Technology. She is very active in advancing climate sciences and informing the general public and leaders.
