Position:
Intern
I am based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and will be joining WCRP as a remote Science Intern. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and am currently writing my PhD thesis, which focuses on the social dynamics around extreme climate events, particularly the interaction between disaster risk management policies, civil society practices, and climate services.

I have experience working in interdisciplinary teams with climate scientists and practitioners, and my interests focus on social studies of risk and on how institutional structures, communication practices and governance mechanisms shape participation in global scientific programmes.

I am also part of the Argentina regional hub of My Climate Risk since its creation in 2022.

At WCRP, I will be supporting the Global South Inclusion Task Team through a mixed-methods research process. My work will involve the design, implementation, and analysis of a survey aimed at identifying structural, institutional, and individual factors shaping meaningful participation in WCRP, as well as the design and analysis of semi-structured interviews to deepen and contextualize survey findings by capturing trajectories and lived experiences that cannot be fully addressed through a questionnaire. I will also contribute to the planning, facilitation, and analysis of workshops focused on identifying research priorities among WCRP scientists. Based on these research activities, I will support the synthesis of findings and the preparation of a report with evidence-based recommendations to strengthen the participation of scientists from the Global South in WCRP.

Outside of work, I enjoy learning new things, exploring new places and cultures, dancing, practicing pilates, learning about animals and being around them, and reading.
