What does the registration fee include?
Conference and Students Attendees: The registration fee includes full participation in the conference sessions, mid morning and afternoon refreshments, Monday Night Welcome Reception and Wednesday Night Conference Gala.
Spouse/Guest Attendees: The spouse/guest registration allows guests, 10 years of age and older, to accompany the conference attendee to the Welcome Reception and Conference Gala. Registered guests may participate in spouse programs, social events or excursions. Guest registration does not include conference participation or materials, and is not for use by co-workers.
All participants and guests and must wear official badges at conference social events.
Student Discount
To qualify for the discounted rate, a student must be currently pursuing MSc or PhD in a conference relevant degree program. In order to prove her/his status, the student must email or fax a letter from the supervisor and a proof of enrollment to info.conf2011@wcrp-climate.org / (fax)+41 22 730 8036 within one month of registration. If we do not receive the verification, the fee amount will be adjusted to the general registration price and the difference will be charged.
Refund Policy
All refund requests must be received in writing (WCRPregistrationinfo@joss.ucar.edu) by 1 September 2011. No refunds will be issued after this date. A $50 processing fee will be assessed on all general registration refunds due to cancellation. Student refunds will be assessed at $25 fee. Guest registrations are fully refundable.
Indemnity
The conference participants must accept personal responsibility for insurance against travel risk and injury. While the organizers will make every effort to observe best safety practices, WCRP encourages all participants to purchase adequate medical and liability insurance. Participants save and hold harmless the WCRP from any and all claims, losses and damages, on account of events beyond their control.
Setting your Username and Password
As part of registration you will be asked to create a Username and Password. This login will allow you to access your abstract submission, your registration or your financial support submission to make changes or payments later. We recommend that you use your email address as your Username and create a Password that you will easily remember.
Coupon codes
If you are an invited speaker or a member of the media your conference fee will be waived. A Coupon Code is required in order to waive the fee during registration. You may contact WCRPregistrationinfo@joss.ucar.edu if you have not already received your Coupon Code. Media credentials will be required to receive a media registration waiver. If you have your Coupon Code, proceed to registration and enter the Coupon Code on the first screen. You will then be able to select the waived registration fee.
Defer Payment
During the registration process you will have the option to choose the "Pay later" feature. We recommend this for individuals who are still waiting for travel visa or for approval of financial support. You will be required to arrange for payment no later than 30 days prior to the start of the conference or your registration will be cancelled
Making payment
Payment can be made by bank wire, cheque in US dollars and Visa or Mastercard.
Cash will only be accepted on-site, please arrange it in advance (contact WCRPregistrationinfo@joss.ucar.edu).
Payments should be made to University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR), UCAR is a non-profit corporation. Cheques in US dollars should be sent to:
