Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries, and Small Island Developing States
WCRP has decided to adopt the United Nations convention in using the terms "Least Developed Countries", "Landlocked Developing Countries", and "Small Island Developing States" rather than the term "Global South" when highlighting countries that should be a focus of support because of the special challenges they face.
